Combining frenetic, physical choreography with imagery brought forth by film and graphics, the British dance company Motionhouse will be bringing its production of Scattered to the Schimmel Center on February 12 and 13. Using the tenacity of water, the production uses curved floors to blow their audiences away, as seen by stellar reviews from The Observer and The Guardian.

Be sure to watch the below video, featuring extracts from Scattered, to see how this marvelous production comes together on stage. Tickets are still available for both performances on our website.

Soldier’s Song

Combining elements of theatre, opera, rock music and animation, David T. Little’s Soldier Songs is a riveting multimedia event that explores the perceptions versus the realities of the Soldier, culminating in the difficulty of expressing the truth of war. The NYC premiere of this extraordinarily experimental piece will be hosted at the Schimmel Center for a total of six performances, January 11-13 and 16-18.

Watch this trailer of the piece and stay tuned for several interview pieces featuring producer Beth Morrison and star Christoper Burchett.
